The Sales Assistant is a context-aware AI chatbot widget that lives on your frontend store. Unlike generic support bots, it is trained on your exact product catalog and behaves as a personal shopper — guiding visitors from interest to checkout.

What the Bot Can Do

Understands natural language queries like “I need something under $50 for a birthday” and returns relevant product cards with images, prices, and a direct buy link.

Visitors can add products to a mini cart directly inside the chat. The cart icon in the header shows an item count badge, and the cart panel slides in smoothly without leaving the chat.

Based on your configuration, the bot intelligently proposes your existing WooCommerce coupon codes during the conversation — triggering them based on specific behaviors like hesitation, cart value, or abandonment signals.

Agent Handoff

If an escalation is triggered (frustration, specific keywords, or unanswered questions), the bot gracefully collects the user’s contact info and emails a full conversation summary directly to the admin.

Chatbot Configuration Tabs

All chatbot settings are strategically categorized into functional tabs under SalesBuddy AI → Sales Assistant:

Appearance Control the Primary Color, upload a custom Bot Avatar, select a Cart Icon style (default, modern, basket), choose the widget Position (bottom-left/right), and define the default Welcome Message & Bubble.

Content & Language Set the primary Language (EN, FR, ES, DE, IT, PT), define the Assistant Tone (Professional, Casual, Luxe, Enthusiastic, etc.), control Response Length, and configure clickable Quick Prompts.

Products Set the maximum number of products to return per query, specify default AI Ranking logic (Best Sellers, Relevance, Highest Margin), toggle Exclude Out-of-Stock items, and define Allowed Filters (Price, Category, Rating).

Checkout Enable the in-chat Express Checkout mini-cart toggle, choose the link destination (Direct to Checkout vs WooCommerce Cart), and effortlessly auto-apply any AI-generated coupons.

Coupons Configure behavioral triggers to strategically propose existing coupon codes during the chat, including setting minimum spend requirements.

Handoff & Safety Automated Agent Handoff: The AI monitors for escalation signals (Unanswered questions, Negative sentiment, Specific keywords). When triggered, the bot stops the flow, collects visitor contact info, and sends a Conversation Summary to the admin email.

Configure frustration detection thresholds and set the support email address for automated manual agent handoffs.

Checkout link generation When a user selects a product from the chat, the bot generates a direct WooCommerce checkout URL that pre-fills the cart with that product. If a coupon was proposed during the session, it is also pre-applied to the URL.
